Livingston’s generous contributions funded this week’s Livingston Philanthropies (LPI) delivery to the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), the state’s premiere prisoner re-entry organization.

The desired outcome for clients who successfully complete NJRC’s programs is to acquire skills that result in gainful employment. NJRC employment director Cynthia Rojas; NJRC master graduate Luther Garner, previously incarcerated for more than a decade; Jennie Pena, who runs the NJRC’s Newark operation; and LPI’s Jeff Friedman are shown with items needed immediately by clients who have recently landed jobs.
Livingston neighbors provided the funding for winter beanies, insulated gloves, shoes and work boots required for their new positions and new winter jackets in sizes 2XL and 3XL for larger clients who do not own winter gear.
